Soft Rain is a fantastic book. If you love history and adventures you must read this book. The story is about a girl named Soft Rain. She and her mother travel the Cherokee Trail of Tears. It has some parts that are very sad and it is a chapter book so I would recommend this book 10 – and up. Even though I am 8 years old and I still think it is more for older kids. The main characters are mom, dad, Eagle Boy, Soft Rain, Green Fern, Soft Rain’s aunt, Soft Rain’s Uncle Swimming Bear, grandmother, and their dog whose name I forgot. Their adventures take them over mountains into valleys across rivers and into forests and plains. During the Trail of Tears Soft Rain and her Mother find Father and Eagle Boy. It has so many surprises hidden in it. This book rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :]

Happy Birthday to Harry Truman. Harry Truman was our 33rd president. Actually his birthday was yesterday not today. Anyway he was born on May, 8th, 1884, in Lamer, Missouri and he died on December 26th, 1972, in Independence, Missouri. He had no vice president in his first term because he was finishing off the term for Franklin D. Roosevelt, but in his second term his vice president was Alben William Barkley. Also this is a fun fact that the S in his name doesn’t stand for anything.
Harry S. Truman won a close race against Governor Thomas Dewey New York. Harry’s Wife was Bess. Harry became a Senator, then a vice president who became president during the final months of World War 2, after Roosevelt’s death. Harry Truman was a very amazing president.
