HI! Today I went to Folk Fair. It was awesome. Here is my story about it.
I had only been to the Wisconsin Folk Fair once. I was 3. [I live in Wisconsin.] It was 40$ to get in to Folk Fair. I stared at a helicopter flying overhead. In Summer the popular State Fair takes place were Folk Fair is. When we got in I got a passport for 1$. We first went to the Welsh and Cornwall section. After that we went to the Slovenian area. Next, was the Romanian section. A little boy taught us about Romania. The last three were Italy, Latvia, and Czech Republic. After we finished that row we got some food in the Arabic section. We had falafel, pita bread, hummus, dolmas, and tahini sauce. It was so good. I loved it. Then we went to the last row. We saw Historic Americans, Thai, Native Americas, Egyptian, Filipino, Burmese, Donauschwaben, and Polish. Then we watched Tasmanian, Czech, and Irish dancing. It was awesome. Then we ate dumplings and a cheese quesadilla. It was so delicious. We saw more dancing then. I then got a cinnamon sugar with butter crepe. I ate it while watching Turkish and Serbian dancing. Finally, I got two raspberry Kranzchens. (Scroll down for pictures!)
Hummus Hummus is ground chick peas
Dolmas Dolmas is rice wrapped in grape leaves
Kranzchens are a butter cookie shaped like a flower with jelly inside
Hello! Sorry I haven’t been blogging lately. I have been sick. School homework also takes up time. Today I am going to teach you about the Wombat. First of all the Scientific Name for Wombat is Vombatuas Ursinus. Their lifespan is from 5-20 years. Much longer than the Woodchuck. Wombat’s are herbivores. Some sample foods are Grass, plant roots, and fungi. Wombat’s are found in Australia. The Habitat of the Wombat is Forests, open areas, hills, and mountains. Wombat’s also have predators. Almost no animal at all has no predator. Only if you are a animal at the top of the food chain. Anyway, the Wombat’s are people, dogs, and foxes. The male Wombat’s name is Jack. The females Wombat’s name is Jill. Now in the Jack and Jill went up the hill nursery rhyme I think they were talking about a Wombat. I think they were talking about a male and female Wombat going up the hill to where they lived. It all makes sense. Since The male is called Jack. The female is called Jill. Well Wombats also live on hills. The young Wombats are called Joey. A group of Wombats are called a Wisdom. A Wombat’s body covering is hair. The Wombats body tempature is warm-blooded. Finally, Wombats are marsupials. Most animals in Australia are. Bye! I’ll write another blog post soon.
