Zebra – World of Animals

Zebras are a kind of land mammal. They look like horses only with stripes. The stripes are often black and white. The zebra’s scientific name is Equus Burchelli. There are three kinds of zebras which are the common zebra, Grevy’s zebra, and the mountain zebra.  All of these different kinds of zebras are spread out in the deserts and grasslands of eastern and southern Africa. Zebras spend lots of there time eating grass.

Zebras are herbivore’s. Some kinds of food they eat are grass, bark, and leaves. A male zebra is called a Stallion. A female zebra is called a mare. A baby zebra is called a foal. Zebras live in herds also called dazzles. When there is trouble, the zebras run away quickly at a 40 miles per hour sped. Carnivores like lions, hyenas, leopards, and cheetahs are mostly what eat zebra. Well now I got to go now. Keep looking for more animals facts. I will have another blog post soon.
